moving from me to win 2000

am buying a second hand computer (desktop) from friend for 100euro...has win 2000 on it.....is it a big difference from winme? can  anyone let me know of any basic/huge differences between them? thanks

win2000 is far superior to winME. winME is essentially just win98 with some enhancements. win2000 is for a more professional environment, and is infact basically just winNT with USB support (among a few other things).

it's not really any different to use, but is more stable than winME. Also, certain programs only work on winXP and win2000 (such as iTunes).

In short, win2000 is far better than winME.
