HELP!

Can anyone out there help me please? I recently bought a Canon MX330 inkjet printer. But when trying to load the softwear for some reason it keeps telling me that it is not responding! Am I doing something wrong? I follow all the instructions but still the same result. Any help would be greatly appreciated. Thank you. Heraclese.

Is the printer connected to the PC by a USB cable?

Is the printer turned on?

Without the software installed and the printer turned on and properly connected, restart the computer and open a Word or any text document. Try to print it, does the new printer show up? If you're using Windows you may not need the software.

Thank you Wildwood, I did try this but it shows the printer as "not connected". Completely at a loss.

You did install the software BEFORE connecting the printer?
If not, you need to disconnect the printer, uninstall the software, and start again with the printer unplugged, until told to connect it.

If you have USB devices it does matter. You need to install the software before connecting the device.
