Laptop to iPad

I recently bought a disc of books and successfully transferred some of them to the OH's Kindle, but I'm darned if I can manage to transfer them on to my iPad. Would really appreciate any help. TIA

I believe that there is an App called Bluefire which might help.
but please,please wait for other answers as I am possibly the least tevhie person in the world.

There are several free apps in the app store for reading E-books.

Download one of those, and email your books to the iPad.
