Just buying a kindle case. There are so many to choose from. If you have one wonder if you could help with which are the best lights to use i.e. built in or purchased separately? Also would you bother with the cases that have stands - when would you use the stand? thanks for your help
I have a light, and never use it
Think about it, do you ever read in the dark? Waste of money although mine came free with the case
I'd look on eBay first, over Amazon
oh and no, I dont have a stand and can't think of anywhere I would use one
Maybe useful if you have trouble holding books and use a stand for paper ones already, but for the kindle? hmmm
I'd go with a clip on light myself, which is what I have and why I ordered the case I got
You can remove it very easily - it slips in between the Kindle and the case - for when you want to put it in your bag or pocket
They are very bright :)
gee, ojread2, you don't stop reading in winter just because it's got dark at 3pm :-) I turn the lights on and continue; and a light on a Kindle has the same function. And a stand can be useful - it frees your hands for knitting, mowing the lawn and so on.
Assume jno also has the wipe-clean edition boo? ;)
I read in bed: tried the clip on light first, which was hopeless - bulky, poor direction and meant hefting another bit of kit about. Went for the cover with built in light, which works a treat.
I have the case with the built in light a tad expensive at £50 but well worth it - when we go away I way very early and instead of getting bored I can now read - I often wake in the middle of the night and not get to read without disturbing the other occupent of the room - well worth it
Agree with fgt. Pricey, and though I resent the amazon behemoth, it's well made and sturdy, as I discovered when I dropped mine.
The kindle itself isn't a cheap bit of gear really, and it's easy to forget how much money you can rack up inside it on your content, so worth looking after.
