But can someone tell me if a vinyl skin for a mobile phone protects the phone, or if it is just a picture or slogan to add interest - I don't know any teenagers to ask!, but I do want some form of cover for my phone in case it gets dropped. TIA

they will protect the phone from scratches but not from knocks or being dropped.
