Can anyone advise how to get my screen back to normal please? Don't know what I've pressed but the screen is now split in two and the 'Start' button is in the top left hand corner. It's a Samsung NC10 netbook and Windows XP.

Thanks for any replies, peeps. x

Put the cursor on the task bar and drag it down to the bottom, if you want it to stay there, right click on the taskbar and 'lock it'
not sure about the twin screen tho'.

Thanks SA. I've tried dragging the task bar but it won't move. :o(
There is a microsoft 'fix it' button for this problem - about halfway down the page :

You haven't 'locked' the taskbar up there have you? If so, unlock it and then move it.
Not used XP for yonks, is there an option on right click to 'undo' show windows side by side?

No, SA, taskbar wasn't locked and no option to 'undo' show windows side by side.

I've clicked on Dave's link and sorted it now - fabulous! Thanks a bunch Dave, and of course you too, SlackAlice. x
