I have 7 days left on my Norton.

I have the new Norton in a box, ready.

If I put the CD in the computer now, will I lose the last 7 days of the current subscription? Or is the new subscription intelligent enough to carry on from the end of the current subscription? Or will it ask me when I want the new subscription to begin?

Or should I just wait until my current subscription runs out?

Ta very much ;o)

I don't know but I'm suprised you simply couldn't renew over the Net to avoid the concern.
Is it the same version?

If so my memory says it's clever enough to add the new subscription on to the existing one.

If it's an upgrade to a better/newer product then you will probably lose any 'overlap' days.
I think it's clever enough to add the time on..................
I think its sometimes cheaper to buy a special offer in the high street rather than to renew online Old G.

I renewed for half price last time through some scheme or other. Forget what it was now but it did the trick and recognised my cuurrent subscription carrying on from the renewal date.

Ah, I see, in which case what's a week's cover compared to the bargain renewal ?
>>>why bother with norton at all, its a resource hog that slows your system down.

Still peddling the same "facts" from 3 or 4 years ago.

Norton is nothing like that now.
I have had Norton for years and no problems . Your 7 days will be added on you won't lose any days. Hope this helps.
Should have said I renew by cd also and at half price offers.

Hi everyone,

Yes, it was far cheaper to renew by buying a new product. I think you pay for the 'convenience' of renewing your subscription online.

Its a straight renewal from Norton Internet Security 2011 to 2012.

Oldgeezer - I do agree that a week is not much compared to what I saved, but nonetheless I have paid for another 7 days and Norton Corporation have WAY more money than I do, so why would I want to forgo the days I have paid for to put more cash in their pockets? Times are hard you know! ;o)

I'll be happy to try to renew now, while I have the time instead of waiting a week.

Thanks for your your input everyone.
