I had problems a couple of months ago with hotmail, had to redo my password. However, the ipad would not work at all after this, so I deleted the email account from the ipad and reinstated it and worked perfectly. Hope this helps.

The message I get on the laptop is that there is a problem and says to try later. The iPad constantly tells me the password is wrong when I know it is not.
I have tried the laptop, tried shutting it down and restarting.
On the Hotmail site on the iPad I can get the 'checking for mail -updated @...'.
And then the message about the password again.
