i am trying to play a dvd on my laptop sound is poor how can i in crease the volume?

I have Toshiba and dont like it, dont like laptops full stop.

my Toshiba satellite is excellent i all terms
look on control panel double click on *realtek HD audio manager you can adjust all aspects of audio on there in sound effects /equalizer
*(if you have this on your comp)
