35 mm slide scanner

I am thinking of buying a 35 mm slide scanner to "digitise" my collection of 40 year old colour slides.
I don't particularly want to buy an all-singing, all-dancing flatbed scanner as those I have looked at seem to be somewhat over specified for my needs. I already have a perfectly adequate flatbed scanner (which doesn't have a slide adapter) so I am seriously looking at the Veho VFS-008.
I have seen somewhere (I can't remember where) that scans made from Kodachrome 35mm slides have a tendency to have a blue tinge.
Do any of you good people have any experience of scanning 35mm slides and if so are you able to comment on the "Kodachrome Blue Tinge"?
Most of my slides are on K'chrome (with a few Agfa) and I am quite prepared to tweak any or all of the scanned images with my good old PaintShop Pro Photo X2.

try looking up the tevion film scanner FS5000, haven't got slides but works well on negatives £20-£30 in aldi sometimes with their offers. you may be able to get it elsewhere.

Thanks for your comments, Paul. It would appear that the Tevion is just a Veho in disguise. Thus I would expect the same "Kodachrome Blue" comments as above to apply.
What I would like to know is does anyone have any experience of using the Veho (or the Tevion) to scan K'chrome slides (as opposed to negs)? If so, do you get a blue cast, and if you do, can you correct it with P'Shop or PSP?

Thanks, Wak, for your comments - and the link. I tried making onr of these many years ago with far from satisfactory results!
If you have been successful with this method perhaps you could offer a few tips. Did you actually manage to avoid the blue cast when scanning Kodachrome slides or did you remove it with photo editing software?
As I said in my original question, I would love to hear from someone with first hand experience of scanning K'chrome slides with this type of scanner.
