Capacity of Sky+ box

When I click on "Planner", the top line tells me that I have 14% free. When I count the usage of space by the stored recorded programmes it hardly goes into double figures. Can anyone advise on the reason for this? Thanks.

Items in the planner are counted in the used space even if they've not been recorded yet.

It does get it wrong sometimes though, the following will re-evaluate the space required by planned recordings..

You mean you've gone through your whole listing of programmes recorded and added the hours up?

If you have, some hour long prgrammes can use a higher percentage than you would expect.

And don't forget if you record in HD it can use between 3-4 times the space then an ordinary program.
