Does anyone have any experience of these? Do they work?. My friend is having problems with her laptop connecting wirelessly and she does not want to run cables to the router. Could she plug one of these in the wall then plug the ethernet cable into it and she would receive a signal from the router this way.?

Thanks for your help.

Thanks will let her know.
Works fine for me, even over my extended and complicated setup which is:

Office:
Phone line comes into office (about 30 metres from house)
Into router
From Router to 1GB switch
From Switch to Powerline adaptor plugged into extension lead,
English to Greek mains adaptor and finally into the mains

House:
Greek to English adaptor to Powerline Ethernet
Powerline to second router configured as WiFi access point

Finally ends up by WiFi to Blackberry Playbook which is connected to the telly via HDMI so that we can watch IPlayer on the TV.
