I have an old ipod from which I want to transfer the songs onto an apple mac andthen sync it to a new ipod. However, when I plug in the old iphone, it says it is already linked to another ipod account and do i want to erase and then sync all new stuff onto the old one. Mmm, there is no other option where it will allow me to save these songs onto the computer and I really do not want to lose them by erasing. Any ideas how I can save them? I really don't remember details for another ipod account which was probably back in 2010.

Thanks for answer but cannot fathom, sorry.
This is what it says, I just cannot seem to put it right and it just gives me the option to erase or cancel, ie do nothing else:
'An iPod can be synced with only one iTunes library at a time. Erasing and syncing replaces the contents of this iPod with the contents of this iTunes library'
When you connect iPod to a new iTunes or a new computer, you need to authorize your iPod to it, then you can follow this guide that helped me before to transfer files from iPod to computer
