Uploading To Web

I have a desktop PC and a laptop, both for personal interest and a modest website. Occasionally I would like to upload amendments to my website from the laptop but Terrapin FTP, that I have used for years (and have the CD) can apparently only be used on one computer. Can someone please suggest a relatively easy alternative FTP I could use in addition? Thank you.
