My Panasonic Free view TV and DVD Recorder ask me every two or three weeks, to do an auto set up which takes around three minutes. Is there a way I can turn this off?

Go into the 'Function Menu', go down to/select 'Others' this should give you 'set up' - go across to 'set up' by using the across arrow (round the OK), when it is highlighted press 'OK'. Mine allows me to opt out from it, but I can't stop it appearing in the first place.
Press the "exit" button on the remote control.
I have this on my new one I got for Xmas and it does my head in. At first it only appeared when first switched on so I just pressed exit. The last time the message was appearing every couple of minutes so I've switched the bloody thing off. The daughter will have to look at it :-(

Then just press return until you are back with the TV picture.

That should switch off the message.
