Unfamiliar Computer Programs
5 Answers
Since having my computer repaired (something happened to the motherboard) I see that I have two unfamiliar programs. One is ‘LogMeIn’ and the other ‘VIA HD Audio Deck’. I have only my desktop and a laptop, so what is the point of LogMeIn? As for the HD Audio Deck, is that any better than Windows Media Player? I'm thinking if uninstalling both but don’t want to cause loss or damage and would be glad of any advice please.

If you have some kind of support contract, then you can leave LogMeIn installed, and configure it so that anyone trying to connect must ask your permission at the time. I have access to nearly all my clients' machines via LogMeIn. On the other hand, if you don't have a support contract, remove it.
