3 Answers
Is it possible sometimes to print a reverse image so that the paper is not saturated with black ink which adds nothing to the print but just a soggy black piece of paper? I blame certain websites for this.

If it is the outline of an image that is black you can easily remove the black parts by cropping it to only the parts that you want.
All the above can easily be achieved by downloading the free http:// downloa d.cnet. com/Irf anView/ ?part=d l-Irfan View&am p;subj= dl& tag=but ton and plugins. Very easy to use and trusted to be free of tracking rubbish etc. by all.

You can also try printing draft quality if your printer / applications supports this.
e.g. For MS Word: http:// wordpro cessing .about. com/od/ wordqui cktips/ qt/draf tprinti ng.htm
Some printers also have the capability to select the option 'print in grey scale' which removes all the colours and saves ink. See the options available in 'print preferences' for the printer.
Also check your Printer features listed in the printer manual or on the manufacturers support web site.
