Why does my phone keep going to "hold" when I am making or receving a call?

Maybe you are accidentally pressing the 'call on hold' button. It is the button located at in the bottom left-hard corner of the phone front screen i.e. the one that is opposite to the return / select / ok button

It's an OS problem... update your OS. But do not do it ourself, let the experts from Samsung do it for you.
