I have just bought some nice cordless headphones so i can watch my DVD's in bed while the wife gets some sleep !!. I have just got home and found my tv in the bedroom has no headphone socket. My DVD has Audio out at the back but the headphones won't fit into this. Is there anyway of connecting my headphones plug to the dvd player via the Audio out sockets. Cheers

Yes, Standard fitting on a headphones are called "Jacks"
you can get a Phono to jack converter that will allow you to plug you headphones in am i right in saying that on the back of your dvd there is a red and white socket?
If so then this is your phono output..

This link will give you an idea what your looking for, you will be able to get what you need from Maplins.
yea, just goto maplins or some other local electrical place (radioshack, tandy, something like that), and ask for a "male phono to female 3.5mm headphone jack".

That will work provided that the audio outs are not part of a composite output from the DVD player. I.E. 5.1 channels.

You will need to plug into the Red and White stereo outputs (the orange output is normally digital out)

You can also buy a scart to audio splitter that would work in the same way.
