Locked Out

My Grandson has an i-pod, and his younger sister tried to enter his code (which she did not know) so many times, that he is now locked out for would you believe 44 yrs !! as he is now 10 yrs old he has an awful long wait, we wondered how to rectify this? any suggestions gratefully received

Attach it to the computer/Mac it's registered to and click Restore To Factory Settings or similar.

Try rebooting it....hold middle bit of switch down as well as the top menu bit together for 30 seconds..
