Remove An Item From The Google Black Strip

I set up a gmail address for my mother so she could use her new iPad. Because she had no computer, I set it up on my computer. Now my mum's Google+ profile appears on the black strip at the top of my Google page (I'm using Firefox). I'm happy with the strip, but don't want to link to Mum's e-mail!

Sounds as if you have left it signed in to your mum's account. Just sign out.

Sign out.

Click the small down arrow her name on the right ahdn side

Click "sign out".

If this doesn't work, and you're using chrome, you may need to sign out of chrome. To do this:

Click the settings button
Click "disconnect your Google account"

That should be all.

If you use Google chrome and Google services yourself, can I suggest you pick up the "black menu" extension from the chrome web store. It's really useful.
