Sim Unlocking

I have just ordered a samsung galaxy s4 which is locked to orange. I have ordered an unlock code from a legitimate website to unlock to all networks.

My plan is to put my wifes 02 sim before I put my orange sim in so that it gives the option to put the unlock code in the phone from the very beginning. My understanding is if I just put my orange sim in then it wouldn't give the option to type the unlock code in. Which is why I intend on using my wifes sim. By putting the 02 sim in the phone before my orange sim would it damage the phone?



This might sound ridiculous but just wanted to check.

Putting in a SIM that isn't the expected one will have no affect on the phone save that it will refuse to connect to a network with that SIM in.
