Anyone Using Three Mobile These Days?

Afternoon,

I just wondered if Three have got any better since I last used them?

Previously their customer service was terrible, the connections were weak and the mobile internet speeds were slow.

Have they upped their game at all in the last 2 years?

I'm only now considering them because my mobile data usage now includes quite a lot of tethering, and their "One Plan" is the only thing that is unlimited and allows tethering.

For the removal of doubt, I use about 8-12GB of data a month through my mobile, no real network is offering anything close to that for a reasonable price.

I use T-mobile on an unlimited plan, but this doesn't include tethering.

So, does anyone use them anything close to excessively as I need, and what has your experience been?

Thanks in advance,

Ed

Or anywhere frankly Eccles. You make a good point. They're all spread out, and if no one has three, and they're generally the places I head to anyway, then there's no point in getting three anyway...

Looking at the answers so far, I think it would be easier just buying three different mobiles!!

That didn't make much sense. My apologies!
I now have an image of Ed, sitting at the top of the stairs to the entrance to AB Towers, wheeching in passers-by and interrogating them as to whether they are 3 users or not.
I knew what meant :-)

Like I said 3 is good in very, very specific locations. If you step under a tree you are snookered. If I'm in a good signal area then all is fandabidozee if I'm out in the wilderness.....say Richmond then I've had it.
Just a few flippant comments...

Don't always assume that the Call Centre to whom you are speaking is in India because of the operators accent. There are a number of sing-song speaking souls within such establishments in Wales... I'm Not being racist because I am Welsh. :-)

I find 3Mobile (dongle) much improved.
On 3 for 2 years,never a minutes problem.
I've got a 3 dongle with my lap-top. Didn't think it much good. However I rang their Indian call centre once ranting and raving and the chap was very patient and helpful. I don't think anyone in this country would have put up with me.
I'm on their "Ultimate Internet 500" which includes "All you can eat" Internet usage , ideal for me as I use a shed load of Internet streaming.
My contract doesn't include tethering as it seemed to be a very expensive add on. Also check someone using "3" in your area as the coverage is poor particularly in rural areas. I would say that their customer service is as good as any and the price plans quite competitive

Thanks all.
what is tethering?
Bedknobs. Tethering is using your mobile phone as a modem to connect a laptop or tablet to the internet. Your mobile phone must be equipped with this facility and your contract must allow it

Yep, the WiFi doesn't reach down to the pond at the bottom of the garden :)
