Anyone Using Three Mobile These Days?
34 Answers
Afternoon,
I just wondered if Three have got any better since I last used them?
Previously their customer service was terrible, the connections were weak and the mobile internet speeds were slow.
Have they upped their game at all in the last 2 years?
I'm only now considering them because my mobile data usage now includes quite a lot of tethering, and their "One Plan" is the only thing that is unlimited and allows tethering.
For the removal of doubt, I use about 8-12GB of data a month through my mobile, no real network is offering anything close to that for a reasonable price.
I use T-mobile on an unlimited plan, but this doesn't include tethering.
So, does anyone use them anything close to excessively as I need, and what has your experience been?
Thanks in advance,
Ed

Vodafone have a plethora of nice young men and women to answer the phone - usually from the UK, which is why I stuck with them. My data requirements have jumped up, so it's just not feasible on what they could have offered me. T-mobile are a stop-gap, but I'm not much impressed with their service either - a much slower connection speed.
I use a 3 mobile dongle which is sound for me I don't use it to download stuff the speed and connection is steady. The only trouble I had with them was trying to explain that I'd forgotten password and couldn't log in to retrieve the new one that had being sent took about 45 minutes before I simply gave up.
For my mobile I've being with Vodafone for the past thirteen years and never had any problems with them, and found them most helpful when Enquiring about something and the connection has always being good, except at my bro's seems a black spot... but it is dark side of the moon.

"racist comment Ed. I get great treatment from India. Maybe you need to improve your dicshun as indians I talk to only understand Queens english."
I get great treatment from other Indian call centres, BT for example, but Three's is actually appalling.
I think you need to be more careful abut bandying about the term "racist" without thinking.
Do you have experience with three, or did you just want to insult me?

This is the problem, I know Vodafone is the best for what I want, they just simply don't offer enough data!

"Ed, have you contacted vodafone with your requests?"
I have, I was with them before jumping ship to T-mobbly to protect me from the Vodafone charges for going over the allowance.
The most the can do is 4GB and they refuse to help me any further
Each additional 250mb is £50... so you can imagine what my bills were like while I was with them.

ED, if you spend most of your time in one or two very specific locations then I suggest you find a friend who is on Three and get them to test the capability you are after.
I travel around the country a lot and find the overall reception from Three to be patchy. But when it's good it's very, very good.
Worth a try methinks.
