Ebay - Item Won Has Been Relisted

I won an item on Ebay, on Saturday morning, and contacted the seller as soon as the auction ended to ask for their address so I could pick it up. I also advised them I would be paying cash on collection, as the listing suggested. I said I was available all afternoon and asked if I could pick it up then. The seller did not respond and there was no reply to my message by the end of Saturday night.
I was out with my family on Sunday when the buyer messaged me with her address. This was at 4pm but I didn't see the message until Sunday evening when I was online. I replied and said I'd just got her message and that the earliest I could now go and pick the item up would be Wednesday and would this be ok. The item is located more than an hour away from where I live, so there was no way I could go and get it on Sunday night after she'd sent me her address details.
Anyway, I checked my messages just now and she's sent me a really pissy message (all in capitals!) saying how it's Ebay policy that all items won on Ebay are to be paid for and collected "straight away" and that she was no willing to wait until Wednesday.
I replied and explained that I was free all day Saturday, but could not just drop everything and bundle the kids in the car on Sunday evening when I'd got her message. She'd replied and said "you are supposed to collect items you've won straight away and because you have not I am now going to cancel this and re list the item".
I have just checked and she has indeed relisted the item, but has changed the starting bid to about £30 higher that what I won it for - so she's obviously just not happy with the amount I won it for.
Is there anything I can do about this?

- As stated in the User Agreement, ebay can't force a seller to sell, nor a bidder/buyer to pay.
- Unless the seller sends you a "Request to cancel" and you click "I agree", the seller will still have to pay ebay the appropriate Final Value Fees associated with the "successful sale".
- As the buyer, you're allowed to leave appropriate feedback for this seller not completing the transaction (as you've done). Sellers are not allowed to leave appropriate feedback for bidders/buyers who do not complete a transaction.

Feedback is 95%. I did have a read through the negative comments, and they were all regarding items that were faulty. This item is a piece of furniture, so there's not much that could be wrong with it. I was so thrilled to get it at the price I did, it was an absolute bargain! :-(
I sent her a message to say it was really unfair and that I was going to report her to Ebay. She's replied and said: "KNOW I AM GOING TO REPORT YOU!!! TO EBAY FOR NOT COLLECTING STRAIGHT AWAY WITCH IS EBAY POLOCY!!!"

The best idea is to send a message to e-bay explaining the situation remember to add all you have written here, explain that you are furious at the treatment by the seller, also it is disgusting with regards to the price hike .
I have dealt with e bay many times and have found their Customer Service department superb. Got get them!

there is no rule about 'immediate' pick up... people are supposed to work it out at their convenience.
i agree she just thought she would get more for it and is using this as an excuse to get out of it- because to relist and do it all over again will take much longer than waiting until wednesday.

I've received a "request to cancel" message from Ebay, but have declined it. Surely she shouldn't be able to relist the item.
She told me in one of her messages that the item was stored in a barn and it was "quite safe" to leave the money in there as she would not be there to hand it over. I honestly feel like bidding for this item again, going there to pick it up, and leaving her the amount that I originally won it for!!
Would this be classed as theft though? :-/

Well as soon as she said that, the bit about having to collect it straight away, I checked the listing again. It doesn't say anything about a collection timescale, in fact, it says not much at all. Just a picture of the item and then "cash on collection".
I am going to contact Ebay right now. I know nothing will come of it, but it'll make me feel a bit better.
