My contract is at an end, and I am thinking of getting a different phone. Torn between HTC One, iPhone 5S and Samsung Galaxy S4. Thoughts anyone?

Both have some great features but ios is probably the most user friendly but for that you lose some flexibilty and customization (iPhone is also going to be more expensive).
I'm writting my response on an HTC one and I really like it, I enjoy the android operating system but I did find it a bit hard to get used to at first. The HTC has brilliant battery life, nice screen, is fast enough for everything I need and I can get loads of apps I want /NEED! On the negative the keyboard is small and fiddly (though I could change it with another apps, which you couldn't with iPhone) and I don't much like the download manager to synch stuff between my computer and the phone.

Butlet. Your great grandchildren will be using their Android phones in their history lessons to Google what an Iphone was. (Android is a Google product and Google are going from strength to strength) The Iphone's days are numbered along with the Blackberry. Nokia looks to be struggling as well. Many of my friends are moving away from IOS to Android. Treat yourself to a Galaxy Note 3.

What gives that so many folk want to have Smart Phones.?
I have the cheapest of Mobile Phones (PAYG) and very rarely use it because, primarily, it is for emergency purposes.
Correct me if I am wrong, but, for Internet purposes a Smart Phone does Not have the same capabilities as a Laptop or Desktop Computer; of which I have both.
