I delete most of my messages after I have finished with them but when I check my usage it has gone up instead of down. I delete all the sent and any trash as we'll. So why does the usage go up instead of down ? Many thanks for any help apreciated.

Exactly where are you seeing the 'usage'?
if its data usage, it will go up as every time you delete something it sends a message to the server telling it to delete the whatever.

Thank you for your reply Wolfgang yes understand message sent to server but will the data usage go down if all emails are completely deleted by me .
I think you are getting data usage mixed up with space.

If you were to take something to the dump in your car to make more space in your house. Your Odometer in the car would increase. However you would make more space in your house. The more times you take stuff to the dump the more your Odometer goes up. However the space in your house would increase.

It works the same with data stored on your phone or server. If you tell the server to delete something you will create more space but be consuming data to tell it.

Thankyou so much Stoofur now I understand. Ask me anything about the spacestation lol and I can tell you lol
you can set up your email account to delete emails after they are read or eg two weeks later or whatever you want so you don't have to use data sending a delete message. Just make sure that you move any you want to save to a file on your ipad or computer.
