Is This A Fake "gov.uk Site"

I know there are a lot of fake sites about so I went for the gov.uk site, I ordered a new birth certificate and paid £9.25, they said they would dispatch in 15 days, that was 3 weeks ago. Have I been scammed? or just maybe I need to be patient?

I used that site to get copy of certificates...took nearly 4 weeks to come !

The .gov.uk domain is ONLY available to official Government (and local government) departments. That site is genuine.

lol Anne, a few years ago my nephew asked how old I was, I told him I was 46, my sister blurted out "no your not, I,m 46 and i'm older than you" I sat down and worked it out with her convinced I was right. She was right and I was able to knock a year off :-) even now I have to ask the good lady Carakeel how old I am. I blame the Dyslexia/Dyscalculia!!

Actually I need a birth certificate to get married, I haven't seen mine since the last time I got married.

I've used this site before and they takes ages. I would say at least 3 weeks. I bet it will turn up tomorrow! I don't know why they take so long. It's so frustrating!

Dont go there Anne, we had a Catholic priest at Carakeels Muns funeral, he was a black African, who kept referring to her Mum as "our Mother" and instead of calling her Joan, he kept calling her "Joanne" apart from that we could hardly understand a word he said his accent was so strong. Really not good!!

gness, I'm not sure what you "heard" but I'm assuming you read we are getting married. its been on the cards for a couple of years now, we just haven't got around to it yet. It will be a very small humanist wedding, probably just a couple of witnesses and a couple of close friends and all the hounds naturally. I dont like all the attention.
