outlook express problem

I am having great difficulty in getting outlook express running, quite some time ago it was working perfectly then it just stopped.  I have followed instructions on how to set up an account, but keep having pop up messages saying password is incorrect. I have checked and re checked applied it but it still fails

Same happened to me more than once.  I simply powered off the machine and rebooted.  ( I am sure that I hadn't changed anything from the state where it was working, though).  Seems something got corrupted which wa srestored on bootup.  Good luck!
