I saw the picture of a retro looking camera on the MSN homepage and it brought to mind film cameras.
I've got a digital leica, a small one. It looks retro and has a moulded leather case, its a lovely camera.
I work with a lot of top pro photographers, and no-one uses film anymore.

They all carry laptops so they can download, edit, and send pics within hours of taking them.
I've got a friend who's a "pro" photographer in the sense of being an arty one who holds exhibitions; he still uses film.

Could you produce a 'grainy' image with a digital camera?
not on mine, though you could do it on Photoshop afterwards.

Don't tell people that they can improve their Digital SLRs by putting a 'classic' prime lens from a vintage 35mm SLR on it!
I make money on eBay by buying in vintage cameras and selling the Len's for DSLRs . A prime lens is far sharper than the 'kit zoom' you get as standard with a DSLR.
The Leica M9 (arguably the best digital in the world) uses an 18 mega Pixel sensor made by Kodak ! Mind you it does have a f1.4 summicon lens !
There is an all Titanium version of the M9 only 500 will ever be made and priced at a cool £38,000.
