Hi all.Does anyone know if it is possible to buy a portable radio which receives FM, Medium and Long Wave and has presets for each waveband, also digital display would be useful.I am not particularly interested in D A B models.Any information would be much appreciated.

Roberts do a wide variety of radios. I'm sure you'll find something to suit.

Agree Roberts is a good bet. I bought one when I went to work abroad so I could get long wave. Still going strong 12 years later.

However, discard DAB at your peril. With exception of LW, all DAB radios can receive all radio stations, but you can only get some on a Dab radio. For instance Radio 4 extra is only available on a portable radio if it is DAB. Otherwise you will have to listen on a TV or on line.

"However, discard DAB at your peril"

A lovely sentiment mikey4444. Except that it doesn't exactly apply to those of us who cannot pick up a single DAB station where we live, and believe me, I live in a town of 150K population with a city of 300K 20 miles away on a flat terrain.
Fortunately, it looks like the digital switchover will be postponed again.
Apparently due to not enough people wanting to buy a DAB radio.
