I have a P2P program at the moment and i am downloading films(legally), but i wondered if anyone knows of any good websites where i can pay a one off fee, and recieve really fast downloads. I have searched on google and there are some, but are they reliable? i would llike to find a site where they have a database and not p2p preferably but any help would be nice. Thankyou.

Unless you are downloading fan-made films or similar, then you are not doing so legally!

There is currently nowhere that you can legally download the sort of film that will play at your local cinema. General feeling is that one of the reasons that the MPAA is so hot on downloaders is because the film companies want to launch their own pay-to-download services, but want to crush the competition first (especially as the competition doesn't charge). Do not sign up with one of those "Legal" download sites: they will generally charge you for a P2P program that you could get for nothing.

I agree with LeMarchand, there is no such thing as legal downloads for movies at the moment.I use a program called BitComet to (illegally) download movies, but the speed you are downloading is dependant on how much bandwidth is available from the person(s) you are downloading from. For example, if there are only a few people downloading the same file, you will most likely get a decent speed (I have had over 200kbs), but if it is a popular file which has many people simultaneously downloading, you could end up with poor speeds (often below 10kbs).
