Playing music whilst viewing photo's

Hi

I have copied some family photo's to a CD-RW, someone has told me that I should be able to add music to the CD so it plays whilst viewing the photo's on slideshow. I would be showing the photo's on a portable DVD player thru a TV (I hope that makes sense?!) It would also probably be played on a computer. Do I need to add a media player to the disc or something? I really just don't know what to do.
I would be very greatful if anyone could point in me in the right direction. I have a fairly up todate computer with things on it like media player, sonic record now etc.. If that's of any help.

The disc that came with my digital camera has a program on it that does that.  I don't know what make your camera is, my is a Fuji, but check the disc, you may already have the necessary software for free.

My copy of Nero does this : create a slideshow and add music to it.

Hi,that's easy! What's you need is to make videos from photos and burn the video onto DVD.
Photo MovieTheater is a nice photo video maker. only need four steps, you can create a
personalized and special photo video.
1.Import videos and photos.
2. Select transitions that you like.
3. Add background music,caption, narration, illustration and effects to the photo video.
4. Directly burn onto DVD disc or AVCHD. Or share them on TV, PSP, MP4,etc with HD effect.
