Ipad Mini Alert When Messaging

How do I get an alert when message received? All seems switched on ....

If you go into your settins you will see sounds. Pick one for incoming messages

have you got the sound turned on and the volume turned up?

I could not hear mine then I realised I had the Do not Disturb showing . As soon as I unclicked that I had sound . It just dawned on me when I read Woofgangs reply

I cant see anything for incoming messages in sounds. Where ismthe Do not Disturb sign? Sound is on when I send an email and volume up high.

What ipad have you got .may be different from mine . Go to settings and on the left I have a list look down you will see sounds click on that then just click till you get what you want . Have you checked switch for your sound .I have settngs for incoming outgoing and a different setting for one v.i.p

I have ipad mini, sound is on, and up to full. I have gone into settings. I don't seem to have incoming, outgoing or vip. All sounds that I do have are switched on.

Smurfchops I am not very technical to try and explain to you .Some one might come on and help you and explain better than I can . Hope you get sorted as it can do your head in when things don't work properly and it might just be something simple .

Sorted, had to pull up from the bottom of screen, and turn off the half moon logo. Hope that makes sense !
