Help please,

I'm not the most technically minded person here and some of the websites I've searched are way over my head.
I have a Toshiba laptop using Chrome and Windows 7. I am connected to the internet sky wireless but I cannot open any pages.

Any advice appreciated many thanks

Resetting the TCP/IP stack usually fixes the problem. (Don't worry; it's not as complicated as it sounds!):

Just because your laptop says it's connected to the router (I'm assuming it's wireless), the router might not be connected to the internet - it may need resetting (switching off, waiting 20 secs or so and switching back on), or there might be a fault at Sky's end.
If Buenchico 's advice doesn't help, try resetting the router and see if that helps.
What error messages do you get when you try to open web pages?

Can you access the internet via any other devices you have - mobile phone, tablet, sky box, etc?
