Unable To Connect To Internet

Tablet, mobile phones, other laptops in house can connect to internet but
my Compaq laptop will not anymore.

Have been through troubleshooting on control panel but to no joy. With Sky for broadband and changed lead and splitter to modem.

Any ideas how I can rectify problem please?

Pull the Modem mains plug out, wait a minute replug and switch on the router.

Thanks but tried that many times and doesn't work. Only my laptop having problems.
is it a wifi connection from the laptop to the router? if so, have you accidentally turned that off on the laptop? that used to happen to me occasionally
Tried taking the laptop to a free Wi-Fi area and connecting there?
Resetting the TCP/IP stack (which sounds complex but is actually very easy to do) fixes the majority of such problems. Simply click the relevant 'Fix it' button here:

PS: My post assumes that your laptop can connect to the router but not to the internet. If it doesn't even connect to the router you might need to reinstall the Wireless LAN driver.
My OH had a similar problem recently, resolved it by resetting the Network and Password manually on her laptop.
