Lg Tv Suddenly Lost Sound

My LG has suddenly lost sound - it is attached to a freesat box and has worked ok for 8 months. I have changed batteries, made sure all cables are in tight and turned it off and on again. It is not on mute and in settings shows it is on stereo ? What else can I try?

If it's still under guarantee, take it back.

This happens now and again to ours (with Sky). Try switching all power off at the wall for 10 seconds and turning back on again.

Unfortunately not under warranty. Turned off at the wall for half an hour and still not working.

Have you tried taking out all cables to see if the sound is there. Had a lead that stopped the sound from working.

Disconnect freesat box and see if telly sound works..if you have digital tv of course....

As a last resort, get a TV man in.
