I recently purchased something from Amazon and yesterday, I had an email asking me to write a review. The email began......Dear Tilly!

How has that happened? My amazon account is registered under my real name. Why and how are they calling me by my AB username?

It might be spam...... go to their website and find out how to send them a phishing email, so you can forward it to them. Phishers are very clever these days at harvesting data from every site we use....

Amazon asking for a review after a purchase is quite normal. Doubt it was nasty.

You might have given them a user name in the distant past and never used it.

Jomlett, I have had other emails from them but they have always used my real name.

I've just gone to Amazon to write a review and 'My Public Name' is one I didn't know I had, or have ever used! You learn something new every day!
