Anyone know if Heathkit are still about,?

They used to send Radio and Transmitter kits to build..

Heathkit brings back memories for me. When i was in High School in the early '60s, a friend of mine built a complete cabinet style stereo system using Heathkit. It was about 4 or 5 feet long and I forget if it had am/fm in it (I'm sure it must have.) The first records we listened to were the soundtrack from "The War At Sea"...Absolutely amazing it was at the time.

So you remember the times when almost every corner store had a machine where you could test your tubes, or valves, for radio and TV.
