Photos From Ipad To Laptop Help Please

I want to put all my photos from my iPad on to my laptop. I've got the "cable" ready, but don't know what to do when I connect it.

When I transfer from camera, it sort of "talks" me through.

I'd appreciate your help. Thank you.

You can either download dropbox on your iPad & on your lap top or email the photos to yourself and open the emails on your laptop & save the photos. If you have lots it would be easier via dropbox

Sycamore, thank you for your fast response. I do have lots. I forgot to mention, somebody did this for me previously, but I cant remember what they did. However, they did make an icon on the desktop called "ipad pics" and there are already some photos in there. That's where I want to put them.

When you connect the ipad, it will appear as a remoevable device - and that is where the photos are. You can the copy them to your hard disk.

I worked out that you use the charger, take off the plug at the end and you can plug one end into your ipad ( I have an ipad mini but presume it is the same), the 'plug' end goes into your laptop. First open the photos on your ipad before you connect to laptop, or it might not transfer. This is what I was doing wrong. It should ask if you want to import photos, say yes. Good luck...
