Windows 8.1 Touch Screen Laptop

Would I Still be able to download shareware programmes that aren't touch screen compatible , for example one we have that splits audio tracks from one long continuous track, into several smaller tracks. This programme isn't touch screen compatible, but I'm assuming that I would just opt to use the keyboard and mouse pad when using this programme.

For more on marking an answer as the "Best Answer", please visit our FAQ.A lot of people who buy touch-screen laptops find that they hardly ever use it as such (i.e. they use it simply as a conventional laptop). So yes, you can use any Windows 8 compatible programs with it.
The first thing I do when using any laptop (unless there's no convenient flat surface available) is to plug a mouse into it! I'm no great fan of trackpads.
