Kindle Books On Pc Via Kindle App

I have several kindle books which I can read on my blackberry, my android tablet and my pcs via the kindle app but I can't find where the files are on my pc, nor my phone or tablet, but I particularly want to find them on my pc.

I search 'Kindle' or the book title and/or author and cannot find them.

Any advice? Windows 8.1

A Kindle book should have one of these file extensions:
.azw
.azw3
.kf8

Using * as a wildcard enables you to search for all files in a particular format. (e.g. search for *.jpg would find all jpeg image files on your computer). So try searching for these terms:
*.azw
*.azw3
*.kf8
