Netgear Extender Wn3000Rp

I have a wireless Netgear Extender WN3000RP which I am trying to get registered with my Ipad I have three solid green lights and get to the point where it asks me to enter a password which I understand is password but I just cant seem to get beyond this point can anyone help me please I am only a novice at computing.

There are TWO passwords involved in the setup process:

At Step 4 you're entering the password to access the extender's settings (which is, indeed, 'password').
At Step 6 you're entering the passphrase (a.k.a. password or security key) for your existing network. If it's not been changed it should be on a label on the side of your existing router (NOT on the extender). However if your internet service provider sent your router to you they might have changed it to something different. (In which case it will be in the letter that came with the router, or on its box. Your ISP should also have retained a copy of it, so that they can tell you what it is).
At Step 7 make sure that you check the 'Use the same security mode' box.

Sorry I'm late in answering your prompt reply to my question regarding my Netgear Wireless extender WN3000RP but have had to sort out a computer crash I have tried to follow the instructions given as a downloadable in your response to my question but have been unable to get past the section 4 where I'm am being asked to input a pass word. I just cant get past this section. In the example given in your response it's a Netgear_ext when I get to this point it shows my ISP's address_ext could you explain further in laymans terms please if possible
Many thanks for you help have done exactly as you suggested and its now woking fine and as extended the range. I now have a decent signal and no longer heve to hang my Ipad around the lounge door now should have a decent signal for when the grandchildren come to visit.
