My daughter had hers replaced as it was cracked and it cost £80.00 and I think it was either pc world or staples. As she was at uni I also checked my local independent and it would have been roughly the same price
Thanks Fender but I'd rather have it fixed by a professional, I know I could do it myself as have built a desktop PC from scratch in the past, but this is my son's laptop and if I bu gg er it up somehow I can't afford to buy him a new one just now.

Ok, thanks for the info. Looks like I'm going to have to pay around £80 to £100 then, better than £650 for new laptop though! If he breaks it again he can go without.
