Phone Won't Connect To Cloud

At the moment my phone will not connect to the iCloud so for the past few days I have been unable to access the Internet or send and receive any emails on my phone in effect making it only useful as a telephone and what's the use of that!!

Presume you gave Internet connection. Make sure all your apps are closed by double pressing the home button and swiping up to close each one. Then turn off and on again it may reset it.

I've just been out and I was lost without it
How am I suposed to access the bus timetable without an Internet connection
Prisoners are better treated than this!

I think I'll give the switch off/ switch on option a try
