Any idea how I can removed that irritating advert for Capital One at the top of the in-box ? I am guessing that I can't !

But I am not sure it will help with the new Yahoo mail, as this Capital One isn't an advert in the normal sense. It appears as the first mail item, in your inbox.
I have Adbloc 2.29 ...is there a more up-to-date version available ?

I know the advert spot to which you refer. Unfortunately, even if you do use Adblock, it appears that there is Not any means to stop such items arriving into your Inbox.
In fact, a short while back, I endeavoured to answer a similar question :-

Tell me,why are you placing trust in Google Chrome. It's the one Browser which I avoid (as the saying goes) like the plague. It's the most intrusive Browser you can get and monitors all your Internet activities and is capable of extracting private information from your computer.
I like to have my mail delivered direct into my computer. Consequently, I use Windows E/mail programmes (Windows Mail & Windows Live Mail ) with my ISP being BT...Consequently, I have addresses @btinternet.com. However, I do for casual purposes use Outlook Mail and find it quite reliable.

Diddly...I am interested about you not having problems using CHROME for your Yahoo mail. I can access my mail box with CHROME and view the first age OK. That is I can see the inbox, but when I click on a email, nothing happens...its doesn't open up and I can't read it. The same happens if I try to read my spam or trash..
Not sure what I am doing wrong. But Adblocker on or off won't have any affect on the Capital One problem, as Hans has said earlier.

Hans ...I have had problems accessing my email from within Chrome for over two years, which is why I used Firefox instead. As I value your superior knowledge in all things techy, why am I have problems with yahoo and Chrome and others are not ?
I know that there is supposed to be some kind of incompatibility problem between the two, but wouldn't that effect everyone, not just me ?
What am I doing wrong ?

mikey....Personally I think that Yahoo is a most unreliable E/mail service and can considerably vary from one customer's account to another. It is very rarely that I can access Ymail without it freezing my computer for a matter of some minutes before everything 'cuts-out' and I have to re-enter the site.

But do you know why I can't get my emails and others can ?
I have checked and I have the latest version of CHROME. I recall spending a few hours last year, researching this problem but gave up in the end. So I changed over to Firefox, just for emails.
This problem is the only criticism I have about CHROME.Everything else is OK. But there must be an awful lot of people who have the same problem, and you would have thought that a solution would be easy to get.
