lappie keeps freezing and typing not coming up till few seconds later, getting a message that says shockwave flash has crashed and then reload prompt...what does this mean ?

Just a thought......It could mean that an item of Malware has entered your Laptop. Give a run through with the free edition of Malwarebytes. If you haven't already got it, then download from :-

hans..did as you suggested and found 8 issues that got through my security..ringfenced them and things seem better ...touch wood
