Windows 10 Password Change

I downloaded win 10 and also opened a microsoft account. Now when I start on my laptop it only accepts the password from my microsoft account and not my original start up password. I have tried various faffs but so far no luck.

I want my laptop start up password to be different from my ms password.

Any ideas?

Control Panel / User Accounts
Choose Make Changes to my account in PC Settings
Click "Sign in with a local account instead"
