I'm fed up constantly replacing my Kodak ink cartridges after what seems like a dozen pages printed, and yes I know you can get them refilled cheaper than buying new ones, but is it worth spending £200.00 (Staples quote) to get a printer that will do 4,000 black and white, and 6,500 colour?

The reviews say that it's a very slow printer and the print quality is 'ordinary' (which I think is code for 'not that good'). It looks like a printer that should retail for about £70 - £80, but has the price bumped up to £200 because of the ink tank system. It looks like a printer that should retail for about £70 - £80, but has the price bumped up to £200 because of the ink tank system. Quite cynically I'd say that they are compensating themselves for not selling you so many of their expensive ink cartridges ...
The ink tanks are a money saving idea for a heavy user of home printing or a small business - I'd worry about the ink going 'sticky' and needing replacing if you only use it occasionally.
