How Long To Download Windows 10?

I got a nudge to tell me I could now start Windows 10. It has been showing an icon moving for past 15 mins but no Windows 10. What should I do?

Apparently it depends on a number of factors, but I don't know what they are. I downloaded it three days ago and it took 90 minutes. Someone else said it took him only 14 minutes. It was like watching paint dry, though not as interesting.

On some occasions the update will not work if run from the windows 10 app
Go to Windows update and check for new updates if upgrade to windows 10 appears run it from there
